Every jobsite's got one. Ours is Dave. He has never swung a hammer, never carried a sheet of plywood uphill in August, and has never once been early leaving. But Lord, he can swing that clipboard.
Dave's official issued uniform:
- White hard hat — SAFETY across the front
- Red clipboard — SAFETY in letters a pilot could read
- Eye protection, hearing protection, gloves — all of it, all the time
- Two walkie-talkies. One is not enough radio for Dave
- Boots clean enough to eat off. Nobody eats off them
He keeps everybody safe. Mostly from getting any work done.
